The location of this listing couldnt be better! Walkable and safe neighbor, central to all DC has to offer! The house is well equipped and beautifully kept. Modern amenities with historic charm. Upon arriving some of the new appliances took some getting used to. Once we received the welcome guide via email it made more sense. We were surprised to realize the breezeway and patio are shared with a neighboring business/office. Which felt a little odd as we thought we had the patio to ourselves so the main bedroom large windows overlooked an office building so made it a little uncomfortable when trying to utilize the main bedroom for changing, etc. also we felt like while we were eating on the patio we had to be concerned with our noise level etc as there were people in the adjacent carriage house. There is also someone who lives on the basement level which we didnt know when we arrived so had our bikes parked in the front entry courtyard blocking their stair entrance. Overall it was an amazing stay and the owners were very helpful. A lot of their personal food/clothing in the cabinets and drawers so it felt like we were in someone else’s space the whole time unlike other vrbos we have stayed in but i do realize that is the nature of renting verses a hotel. We hope to stay again!
