”We stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful house right on the beach. Our children (6,9,11) loved going outside the back door and playing in the water, the sand, and lounging in the hammock. ”Due to another guest's need for no stairs, we were upgraded to a larger unit upstairs in the front. A wonderful large covered deck with hammocks was nice but it was pretty noisy, being a few feet from the main road. Kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. ”We had a wonderful view of the sunrise and sunset and the water was perfect. The kitchen was stocked well. The showers were nice and we enjoyed our stay. It was like being at home. ”Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!”

”We absolutely loved our stay! We felt it was super cozy and location was great as we had a golf cart. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in and falling asleep to the waves of the sea was pure magic. We loved sitting on the balcony and taking in the sea. It was truly the perfect stay. You absolutely need a car or golf cart. We rented a golf cart and was super easy to put put around. The hotel district is very close, and the village where all the good food is also not too far....

”This was our second time staying at this great property. As before, it never let us down. The house is amazing, the kitchen is of great design and wonderful for serving meals. ”The house and pool were very nice and clean. Check-in was super smooth. The location was perfect—very convenient for shopping and restaurants but quiet and restful.
