”Very poor WIFI connection in room -almost impossible to use!
We requested a second comfortable chair for watching TV in evenings but never received the chair after several requests.
Breakfasts were very good. Lack of staffing a subject of many delays on numerous occasions. Those who were on duty did a good job under pressure.
Parking was quite adequate - no issues.”

”Had my daughter’s birthday party here. we booked a king suite with a pull out couch.
The place was great, pool was good, at some points the girls had to get out of the pool because of the chemical smell hurting their eyes. Air conditioning in the room was in the bedroom part so when you close lid the door, the living room area was extremely warm.
But staff were amazing, room did exactly what I needed it for, pool and gym made the girls happy. So no major complaints. Would book again.”

”The only drawback was that the elevator doesn’t go up to the 4th floor so you have to get out on the 3rd and walk up. If you have a heavy suitcase or difficulty or inability with steps try to get a room on a lower floor. That said, a staff person graciously carried my (very heavy) suitcase up the steps.”

”The pictures of the rooms on Expedia showed a newer style room but what we got was ok but old.Bathtub faucett leaked and the fan on the air conditioner was very old and weak. No ventilation in bathroom Staff very nice. Pool area very old and humid right beside the water as it’s an indoor pool with no ventilation.
Had nice sauna area. To me it was too expensive for what we got. Restaurant was nice enough but again expensive $30 for a single buffet breakfast. Whole area restaurants expensive.”

”Try and avoid room 305 if you can. It looks over the stairwell between Duckworth Street and Water Street, and also the doorway to the Duke of Duckworth pub. It’s so popular that people stand in the stairway and wait for a table until past midnight. Way past midnight. I expect all the other rooms would be much quieter.”
