Discover the tranquility of a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom cabin nestled in the woods on Old Taylor Lake. Just 5 minutes from the Chain O' Lakes, it offers easy access to snowmobile trails and is only a 30-minute drive from Nordic Mountain.

This stunning home offers a plethora of amenities. It boasts a game room equipped with a ping pong table, two-person basketball, cards, board games, and much more. The charming deck overlooks the woods, providing the perfect spot for a morning coffee or an evening grilling session. At night, gather around the fire in the updated and well-maintained fire pit to roast marshmallows with the family. Additionally, there's a hot tub adjacent to the fire pit for a relaxing soak. Traveling with a dog? They're welcome here as well.

Nestled by the lake where motors are prohibited, we offer canoes, rafts, and paddle boards for your enjoyment. You can also fish directly from our dock. We're confident that after one visit, you'll be eager to return. We anticipate the pleasure of hosting you!

Only 2 permitted dogs with prior approval and a pet fee of $250 for one dog and $50 for an additional dog, which will be applied after booking.
Smoking/vaping is not allowed inside the house, except for the designated under porch. All cigarette butts are disposed of in the provided bucket.

Wonderful winter getaway! The owners' communication was very thorough. We have two younger kids (4 and 7 yo) and they loved this place especially the loft bunk bed setup. It was very clean and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Perfect getaway

We were happily surprised to find the cabin surpassing our expectations, as listed in the VRBO description. In addition to the hot tub, other features, including the availability of kayaks, paddle boards and the paddle boat, made for a prefect stay in the woods experience for our three generation family; our young granddaughters loved it, as did we!

Comfortable, well-equipped, spacious cabin

The cabin was very clean and the beds quite comfortable. The game room was a blast, even for us senior citizens! We enjoyed watching deer wander through the lot, making s'mores over a bonfire, shopping at the local stores, and eating at quite a few excellent Waupaca restaurants. It is a great place to get away with family.

Cozy stay

Cozy stay in the woods, with private access to the little lake. Fire place, hot tub, brought our dog with. Our family had a great time!Overall great stay. Close to anything you might need.However, there was no disclaimer at the time of our booking, that the living quarters and what not are all 2nd story, and require a lot of steps up and down. It was just fine for our family, but may be difficult for older folks.

Xmas family get away

We enjoyed having multiple levels, the game room and hot tub as well. Overall, we would stay here again as it was a nice space and cleaned well. Loft beds were not comfortable but works just fine for kids. Garage/game area could use some paint on floor to make it look nicer but again we had a great time just having that space with games, ping pong, etc...beautiful bathrooms and nice trail down to the lake. Furniture seemed new in living room. Loved having a fire place. We were not disappointed with this house and would recommended it.

Wonderful week!

My family and I stayed for a week mid August and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The hosts think of absolutely EVERYTHING! The grill, kayaks, hot tub, it was an absolutely perfect week and before we checked out the girls were already asking about next summer. It was spectacular.

This place was perfect for our family!

We had a gathering of our family here. We were all raised and attended school in Waupaca. This was THE spot for us to be and it just went so well for us. We liked having the lake and kayaks to use and the yard in back with the picnic tables…..just so nice here and the location was so pretty. Very happy with our stay! Thank you!

Comfortable, spacious getaway cabin

This cabin was easily accessible off the highway in Waupaca but felt secluded. Old Taylor Lake is not swimmable, but we enjoyed kayaking and the SuPs. The kids tried to fish off the dock, but there were not many fish in this lake. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit in the back yard. We spotted deer and a pair of barred owls in the woods. The cabin is beautiful. The kids slept in the loft, and their only complaint was that the grown ups made noise too early in the morning. The facility is spacious and modern and safe. It was convenient to throw beach towels in the dryer after coming back from the city park, just a few minutes away by car. The cabin is pet friendly, so if have dogs you're in luck. However, if you allergies like some of us do, bring your Claritin. There was clear evidence of the previous renter's shedding dog. Overall, the owners were accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Waupaca winter weekend

Stayed here with a group of four friends for a winter sport event. Very comfortable and spacious for our group. Host was very responsive during the pre-arrival period. Cabin was clean and nicely appointed. Appreciated the labels on switches and cabinets. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of firewood to use for the wonderful fireplace. Very convenient location to Waupaca- less than 10 minutes to downtown. Would definitely rent again.
