”I was looking for a place to stay near Liberty Tree Farm that had a nice kitchen for food preparation. Banner Cottage had a well-equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed the back deck and browsing through the many shops in Stockholm! The earplugs that were made available by the property manager were much appreciated with the nearby train tracks. ”Loved it. We love Frontenac and the surrounding area. You can hike to the state park from the cabin (3.5 miles to point no point) We Kayaked, Hiked and even did a winery tour at Villa Bellezza in Pepin. Our Host was conscientious and helpful. On our first night we blew a fuse and the refrigerator was out, Randy came over at 7:30 the next morning with a bag of ice (in case he couldn't mend the fridge) and even some of his homemade maple syrup. ”Our stay was excellent! Our group consisted of 3 couples. The cottage was beautiful & the view was STUNNING! Yes-there are trains, & they are close- so you will hear them. Three of us grew up in a rail town- so we knew what to expect. Noise machines & ear plugs provided- how thoughtful. Three in our group rode in the Tour de Pepin bicycle ride, while the other three enjoyed the Fresh Art Spring Tour. Loads of fun for all. ”

”This sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend away from everything. The house was very clean and had what we needed to prepare simple meals. It was very quiet, wuth only a few friendly neighbors occasionally driving by. Bring your binoculars! We saw deer, pheasants, racoons, coyotes, cranes, and eagles in the field across the road. Alex responded very quickly to any messages we sent to him.”

”We stayed here for a girlfriends 3 night weekend get away. We really enjoyed Vern's cabin !!The cabin had everything we needed. It is very peaceful and serene there. We really enjoyed the patio for coffee in the morning, the fire pit at night, and watching the river. We saw & heard lots of birds, eagles & Blue Herons....Bunnies and a big turtle too. The cabin is not fancy but it is perfect for a get away. Redwing is right there and we had a lot of fun shopping, eating out, and checking out...

”Cabin small, but mighty! Nicely appointed. Perfect for a couple. Deck chairs and grill for our Big Dawg brats, were a bonus! Tree swings by water were perfect for morning coffee. Birds, boats, turtles, deer, bunnies, hummingbirds....Oh My!Property well kept. We enjoyed our time and the close proximy to biking trails, restaurants, museums and pottery shop. Annie was very responsive to all our inquiries. Would stay again if in the area! C&A”

”We threw a very chill bachelorette party for my cousin & this rental was a great find! The pool was right next to the house which was perfect for us. Beau was very responsive and accommodating - if we needed something he could provide it for us within minutes. The view was beautiful and we were in walking distance from all of the activities we did. Would definitely go back & will be recommending to others!”

”Our family enjoyed our stay while in town for a family wedding. This home has a great view and is super quiet, there are several places to gather and relax indoors and out. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and fire pit! The only note is that we couldn’t get to low voltage lights to work which made navigating the outside spaces challenging after dark. ”

”This is a great location for those looking to fish the Rush River and enjoy a beautiful setting. Check-in process was very simple. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The only issue was that the listing indicated "sleeps six." However, there was one queen bed and one pull out queen. ”We were there when it was snowing and later in the weekend when it was sunshiny and warm. We lit a fire in the wood burning stove and walked outside and enjoyed the labyrinth. We heard the coyotes yip and watched the hawks fly over the bluff. We braked for turkeys and deer. We also made the short trek into Red Wing for serious shopping and spent time at Lena’s. In short we loved it all!”
