The Space:

Welcome to your Mt. Hood cabin-and-Airstream stay, with vintage log-cabin character and easy access to hiking, skiing, groceries, and restaurants. The setting is wooded, but it is in a neighborhood near other homes and highway access rather than a remote or secluded property.

• Open living room with vaulted log-beam ceilings, TV, and sleeper sofa

• Kitchen with range, oven, refrigerator and Keurig coffee station

• Dining space for meals and late-night conversations

• Lofted primary sleeping area with king bed and half bath

• Adjacent queen sleeping nook separated by a sliding barn door; this is not a fully private enclosed bedroom

• Full bathroom on main floor with shower/tub combo

• Wood stove in dining area

• In-unit washer/dryer



Included Airstream

• Separate from the main cabin and closest to the house

• Vintage lounge space

• Bathroom with shower



Outdoors

• Yard is not fenced, so pets and children should be supervised outside

The main cabin and included Airstream are yours - no shared interior spaces with other guests.

The Neighborhood:

The Welches community in Oregon is located between the Sandy and Salmon Rivers, making it a recreational paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The area offers a wide range of activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and golfing.



The Old Salmon River Trail offers a scenic riverside hike. Check current trail and road conditions before heading out. Golfers can enjoy a challenging round at Mt. Hood Oregon Resort, which features three nine-hole courses: Pine Cone, Foxglove, and Thistle. The courses offer stunning views of the surrounding scenery.



Whether you're looking for an adrenaline-filled adventure or a relaxing day in nature, Welches has something for everyone. Plan your trip today and experience all the natural beauty the area has to offer.



Explore Mt. Hood Skibowl, Government Camp, Timberline Lodge and Trillium Lake by car. Travel times and access vary with traffic, weather and road conditions.



Getting Around:

🚶 Walking — This mountain retreat is nestled in the Mt. Hood area, surrounded by nature. While not a walkable urban setting, the wooded surroundings and outdoor recreation more than make up for it.



🚗 Driving — A car is recommended for getting around. The area is well connected via US-26. Free parking at the property.



🏔️ Recreation — Explore Mt. Hood ski resorts, hiking trails, and the Sandy River by car. The charming town of Sandy is a short drive for groceries, dining, and supplies.



✈️ Airport — Allow for traffic and mountain weather when planning the drive to PDX via US-26 West.

👉 Layout note

This listing includes the main cabin plus the Airstream closest to the cabin. The Airstream has a separate bathroom. The door on the cabin-side Airstream does not close fully. Inside the cabin, one queen sleeping nook is adjacent to the lofted primary sleeping area and separated by a sliding barn door, so it is not a fully private enclosed bedroom. Additional Airstreams/ADU spaces are not included unless arranged separately.



🐾 Pet-Friendly Space

We welcome pets! Our cleaning team cleans between every stay. Yard is not fenced — please supervise pets and children at all times.



🚫 House Rules

6-guest maximum — strictly enforced, no exceptions. No parties or events. No outdoor fires are allowed under the current property rules.



⏰ Quiet Hours

10 PM – 7 AM



🚭 No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.



Interaction with Guests:

We're available by message anytime and respond as quickly as we can. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
