Oceanfront 3 makuuhuoneen huvila 1 minuutin kävelymatka "Mile-Long" rannalle

Ewing House on rinteessä, 60 metriä merenpinnan yläpuolella, mereltä rajoittuu molemmilta puolilta ja näköala 'mailin mittaan' Long Bay Beachille. Kaikista makuuhuoneista ja yhteisistä huoneista voit nähdä useita muita saaria, joista tunnetuimpia ovat Jost Van Dyke ja St. Thomas nauttii näkymistä loputtomiin purjeveneisiin, erilaisiin lintuihin ja kaloihin alla olevilla vesillä. Olet 3 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä vedestä, kun ranta alkaa ajotietämme juuresta - noin 50 metrin päässä talomme. Olemme yksi harvoista saaren taloista, jotka todella sijaitsevat aivan käyttökelpoisella rannalla. Tämä on erittäin kaunis ranta, jonka voit tunnustaa, koska näkemyksemme näkyy usein kalentereissa ja muissa Karibian alueen julkaisuissa. Meistä tuntuu, että meillä on saaren kaunein näkymä. West Endissä on monia erinomaisia ravintoloita, useita juoksu- / kävelylenkkejä valtameren varrella, tennistä ja purjehdusta sekä sukelluspäiväretkiä lähistöllä sijaitsevasta Soper's Holesta. Tietysti voi myös vain lukea kuistilla tai auringonotolla ja katsella, miten aallot kulkevat. Talossa on 3 makuuhuonetta, jokaisella on sama näkymä ja koko. Olimme vuokranneet lukuisia taloja ja yleensä joku pettyi, kun huone oli pienempi. Jokaisessa makuuhuoneessa on oma kylpyhuone ja pukeutumistila. Vaikka mieluummin kattotuuletin ja avoimet ikkunat, makuuhuoneissa on nyt myös ilmastointi, joten sinulla on valinnanvara.

Talossa on päivittäinen siivouspalvelu ja piika saa aina hyviä arvosteluja. Dion Stoutt hallinnoi talomme. Hän on ollut yksi naapureistamme ja ystävämme monien vuosien ajan. Hänellä on erittäin helppo käsitellä ja hänellä on uskomattomat tiedot saaresta. Sekä hän että piika voivat auttaa sinua mahdollisissa ongelmissa tai kysymyksissä. Saarella on niin paljon tekemistä ja lauttamatkat lukuisille muille saarille ovat mahdollisia. Vierailemme ainakin ainakin yhdellä toisella saarella joka kerta kun olemme siellä.

We loved our stay largely because the view of the ocean and beach are absolutely stunning. Sounds of waves crashing below rocked us to sleep. Couldn’t wait to get up to sip coffee and watch the light dance on the water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable and can be set up either as kings or twins which added flexibility. Well provisioned kitchen. Our host James was great in answering questions and provided a terrific house manual. He also let us store our luggage while the home was being cleaned and after we departed. Plus the West End of Tortola was far more appealing than the Road Town area. So lots of big pluses. There were also a few things that were sufficient but not up to that level. The furniture was fine but not much more. And the water pressure was really low, with hot water not much more than like warm. Also the beach below, while gorgeous, wasn’t really good for swimming as there are many stones. Finally, the driveway parking was very tricky. That aside, we loved our stay because the intimate connection with the Caribbean, location, and view.

Unable to enjoy view most of stay in April

We were not told about how hot main living area as air conditioning is only in bedrooms. The sun is so strong you can only tolerate deck with view early am and late pm. Also share driveway with another house and found ourselves blocked a few times. Septic backed up and could not do laundry or shower for 2 days. Seems being a rental they should check tank as it was full.

The host was very prompt when I had questions and was very helpful with information about the house, restaurants, directions & car rentals. We had a group at Long Bag Beach resort. Ewing House location was perfect to meet friends at the resort. we simply walked down the driveway and to the beach; 5 min walk max. House is very clean and the view is perfect.

We loved our stay and the view after walking in front door never gets old. Were able to walk to our favorite beach (Smugglers Cove) and local restaurants. Sebastian’s and both restaurants at Long Bay resort were all very much enjoyed. Would highly recommend.

A Gem in Paradise

Wonderful home in wonderful location. Beautiful view of long bay and Jost. Silky sand beach steps away. As well as two great restaurants. Shady 30 minute trek to Smugglers Cove, with nice snorkeling, calm waters and beach bars. Home has 3 king bedrooms with en suites, nice patio and decks, and good kitchen for meals at home. Great place!

Another Great Stay

I honestly don’t know how many times we have stayed at Ewing House. The views are wonderful and sunsets are often spectacular. The beach is very accessible and walkable. We highly recommend a stay.

Great Time in the BVI!

We are 3 couples in our 60's visiting Ewinging House for the second time. The house is in a perfect location, right above the beach. We ate out almost every night; our favorites were Tropical Fusion, Bananakeet, Sebastians and Sugar Mill. We used Stouts Taxi service and Murlises Taxi. The beach had changed a bit since our last visit in 2016. The ocean was very rough and there was coral in the water so be careful where you walk. We spent a day at Smugglers Cove where the water was much calmer. Had drinks and wonderful hot dogs at Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar! In all, we had a wonderful stay. We didn't want to go home.

Do We Have to Leave?

My family of four so enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Ewing House. What a special place on this planet, views were over the top gorgeous, loved our walks to the beach, Tropical Fusions and the resort. The locals on Tortola are the kindest and most lovely people. Enjoyed days on Long Bay, hanging with Nigel at Smugglers Cove (so convenient and an amazing beach), soaking in the sun and sounds at Cane Garden, and a super easy and fun day to Jost. Great local restaurants to boot.

Must be one of the best views in the world!

We stayed there seven years ago before the hurricane. We were a bit concerned on what we would find, but the house is in excellent shape. We had a wonderful time ambling on the beaches snorkeling right out in front of the house and in smugglers cove. The memories from this wonderful place will be forever in your mind once you visit.

Ewing house at Long Bay

Heaven! Okay, more details. My wife and I returned to Long Bay for the first time in 40 years. We stayed at the old Long Bay Resort (now rebuilt) and the new resort looks sensational. We elected to stay at Ewing house for the kitchen and additional room and we were not disappointed. Great view of the beach and surrounding islands. The sunset was front and center on the deck of the house every afternoon. Truly a short walk to the beach. Christine, the housekeeper/welcoming committee/and more was priceless. We had ordered groceries ahead of our arrival and Christine put them away for us. We alternated eating at Tropical Fusion and 1748 and had great meals. Lunch or dinner at Sebastian's at the Beach was on our plan but we didn't make it there. I recommend Jerry's Car Rental which is a small local company but tremendous service. If you are renting a car and are not familiar with Tortola, print a map with good directions as there are no signs with street names or other indicators. Also do not plan to rely on GPS on your phone unless you get a phone that works on the island. Ewing house has three bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms so having the house for just my wife and myself seemed like we were not making proper use of the space so maybe soon we will return with family. Communication with the homeowner was great and helpful. We highly recommend Ewing house although we would prefer to keep it a secret so it would be certain to be available for us.

Paradise!

We had such an amazing time in beautiful Long Bay and this villa was the perfect place for our family! The views were unmatched and we didn’t really need to ever leave the whole week. I had to force my family to leave and explore just a bit because everyone was perfectly content to just stare at the gorgeous scenery. The beach was gorgeous and very secluded, and a super short walk to the end of the driveway. 2 great restaurants and a bar right on the beach. Several other great restaurants within a 10-15 min walk, or just grill and make food at the house. We found this location to be very accessible to everything on the island and hope to be back. And Christine was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions. You will never regret staying in this wonderful paradise!!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

We had an amazing vacation! The pictures don’t even do it justice. The house is beautiful and Long Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. We came here to celebrate our 21st anniversary and my mother’s recovery after triple heart bypass surgery. We fell in love with Long bay and waking up to that amazing view every day! Christine was so nice and helpful. She is very knowledgeable of all things local and she will kindly give advice when asked. She even cooked rice and beans for us one day! There were beach chairs, board games we played one night with my two teens, and a new outdoor grille. My mom would take a chair and go down to the beach early everyday. My family had a wonderful time! (And your family will too :-) Thank you! Michelle

12 glorious days

Perfect location and home for our 3 couples. You won’t find a better vacation home this size on Tortola. The view is to die for and we actually purchased a small print of our view in one of the shops. Mimi has done a beautiful job of providing everything you need. Kareem with Perfection car rental was wonderful. He went far and beyond in helping us. We are owners of a VRBO property on the coast of SC and I can attest this is a perfect property.

Family vacation

Stayed for a trip with our son and his girlfriend. The house location was paradise and enjoyed the views and restaurants. Would love to come back very comfortable also.
