    Ridgemont House on todella vaikuttava Long Bayn ja Sir Francis Drake -kanavan välissä. Maalattua värikkäitä värejä, jotka ovat tyypillisiä Karibian tyyliä, 1. 8 hehtaarin yhdistelmä sisältää viisi yksityistä makuuhuonetta, joista jokaisella on oma kylpyhuone ja elegantit elintilat kaikille, jotka voivat jakaa äärettömän reunan tai tuulen verannan vieressä. Täysin yksityinen ja rauhallinen ja silti pääsee helposti Betonin tiellä, joka johtaa alas Long Bayyn vain muutaman minuutin päässä. Perhe- ja lapsiystävälliseksi suunniteltu 2 makuuhuonetta voidaan valmistaa joko king- tai twin-vuoteina.

    Päärakennuksessa on muodollinen holvattu olohuone ja ruokailuhuone. Siinä on paneelikatto, jossa on faneja ja kuusi 9 ”korkeaa ranskalaista ovea, jotka avautuvat terassille, joka kulkee 20” x 30 ”Great Roomin kolmella puolella. Näkymä on upea. Täällä voit nauttia pelistä 60 tuuman taulu-tv: llä tai musiikillasi Sonos-äänijärjestelmässä. Suuri huone avautuu täysin varustetussa keittiössä, jossa on kvartsi-työtasot ja Viking-ruoanlaittovälineet.

    Ulkopuolella on yli 2000 neliömetriä asuintilaa. Nauti auringonpaisteesta laajalla kannella elegantin infinity-altaan (30 x 15) rinnalla tai lounge-tilassa, jossa on verannan ulkona oleskelualueen tai ruokailutilan varjo 10 hengelle. Sieltä voit nauttia henkeäsalpaavista näkymistä rannikkoa pitkin ja Jost Van Dyke -aukiolle ja sen ympäröiviin maihin. Vierashuone, pukuhuone ja suihku ovat aivan kannen vieressä.

    Ilmastoidussa toimistossa, joka sijaitsee Suuren huoneen ulkopuolella, on mahdollista tehdä huomaamaton neuvottelupuhelu tai vähän työtä, jos tarvitset. Langaton Internet-palvelu on saatavilla koko huvilassa - vain tuo oma kannettava tietokone tai kannettava laite. Epson-tulostin on käytössäsi toimistossa.

    Viisi makuuhuonetta
    Kaikissa viidessä ylellisesti sisustetussa huoneessa on korkeat katot, suuret ikkunat ja terassit tai parvekkeet, joista on upeat näkymät Karibianmerelle tai Atlantille. An incredible house with an even better view! Sam and co. were incredibly helpful and responsive. The house had everything we needed - including a beautiful relaxing pool. We rented a jeep (shout out to Jerry’s!!!) and I LOVED driving the hills - however this would not be for everybody. Close to Smuggler’s Cove, Soper Hole Marina, Cane Garden Bay, Brewer’s Bay and their wonderful beaches. Cannot recommend this house enough - I hope I’m lucky enough to return some day.

Absolutely stunning views! Incredible house that truly looks just like the photos! Plenty of space for everyone for both gathering and privacy. This hill is STEEP though and you should definitely take their advice and hire their driver for the entire stay… not every driver is going to make it up that hill! We had a wonderful time and the staff was terrific bringing us all sorts of things when we ran out! Top notch in every way!

We had an awesome time at Ridgemont. The views were amazing. The bedrooms were spacious with great views. The kitchen was stocked well and had all the comforts of home. We will be back.

Wonderful and luxurious stay in the BVI

The best vacation rental I have ever stayed in. We had a group of 8, and everyone was comfortable in their rooms. The estate is well kept and the house was spotless clean. The staff was top notch and extremely friendly! I highly recommend staying at this beautiful mansion! Thank you Sharlene, Sam, Wendy and my new friend Eric!

It’s all about the views.

The property was great. 5 en-suite bedrooms which was perfect for our group of 8. (3 couples & 2 singles). The property manager was great. Although it was a bit tough to communicate with her prior to arrival as text / emails didn’t go thru. For those reviewers that said you can walk to restaurants …. LIES. The hike down the hill is treacherous and back up is a BIG no way! And our group is fit. But those reviews are just nonsense. A car barely makes it up …. An SUV is a must. Once you’re there it’s perfect. True paradise.

Beautiful home, amazing views. Great layout for multi-family

We really enjoyed our stay. We've stayed at many upscale homes and I think we all agree that the layout and pool for this one is the best. Great layout, ideal for finding places to gather as family or find a spot by yourself with amazing views and tropical breezes. We ate multiple times at the outdoor dining table with the pool on one side and the sea on the other. Big, big island in the middle of the kitchen so it didn't get cramped even with 6 or 8 of us wandering around. Pool was delightful and the landscaping lovely (even though completely outclassed by the view). Nice Sonos sound system for some ambience music. Kitchen does not have AirCond, so can get quite hot in the summer months, and if it was my home, I would upgrade the wifi to satellite and mesh to improve coverage in the house and throughput, as it was a bit flaky. Each bedroom has it's own AirCond, which worked very well. Three weeks since our stay and I can see the beautiful view of Jost van Dyke in my minds eye.

Words can’t describe!

Our first time in the VBI’s and we hit the lottery with this outstanding home. There are lots of beautiful views in the Virgin Islands but I don’t think any could match the view we woke up to and went to bed with every night. The home was fantastic, comfortable, inviting. Each room had its own special view. The pool and landscaped grounds were were superb. The home and the staff were more than accommodating and efficient, they took time to talk, listen ask questions and anticipate our needs. On a scale of 1-10 it was a solid 15! If I only had one recommendation it would be to add HVAC to the main living area and kitchen. Two of the seven days we had good trade winds to cool those areas, but the other five days if no breeze it could get quite hot. 10 steps away was a cool pool to offset it. We plan to return again next year and possibly make it an annual family vacation destination. We had eight adults, two couples and the rest singles and we had more than enough space for togetherness or private quiet space. It’s definitely the perfect island home!

Wonderful House with a lot of room, gorgeous views

We loved Ridgemont House! Sam provided excellent communication in the booking process and helped with securing cars, activities and groceries. This house is amazing. We had 5 adult couples and each loved their room. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed. When we were home, we spent most of our time out on the patio and pool deck. The drive is adventurous! The road is well maintained and paved the entire way but is steep and curvy like most of Tortola. We will for sure stay at this house again if needing a house on Tortola. Tortola and the rest of the BVI have made huge strides in coming back from the hurricanes. Most of the places we wanted to go were open and happy to have us and there was progress every day on something new.

Ridgemont House

Ridgemont House was fantastic! Everything was top-notch, including the beds, furniture, towels, sheets, etc. All of the rooms are updated and modern, whereas some other houses we have rented in the past in the Caribbean have updated rooms in the main house and out-dated rooms in the guest house. Views are incredible. Pool was perfect. Location on the west end is ideal with easy access to Soper's Hole Marina where you can grab a quick ferry to Jost or elsewhere. Also closeby are various nice beaches. Ridgemont has a Sonos wireless sound system that is great to play whatever music you want to hear. Worked pretty well but you can always stream music from Youtube or another source to a portable wireless speaker if you bring one. The property managers were fantastic and very responsive to questions you have while there, such as directions, recommendations, day trips, etc. You won't be disappointed at Ridgemont.

This property is amazing. Once you enter the gates, you will notice the spectacular landscaping along the driveway on the way up. There are three different living areas at Ridgemont. The main house has a study, an unbelievably spacious kitchen with top of the line appliances, a living room with plush seating with a 60 inch flat screen TV, and a covered lanai where we spent most of our time. There is a 4 bedroom double story unit, and a 1 bedroom efficiency with a complete kitchen down the steps from the pool, The views from the house are mezmorizing. From the deck, you can see Jost and St Thomas. Once you take the 12 steps up behind the bedroom house to the gazebo, you can see both sides of the Island , and the other BVI Islands in the Sir Francis Drake channel. Being on top of the mountain, the breeze is so cool that you might not want to turn the air conditioning on. Smugglers Cove and Long Bay beach are a must visit just at the bottom of the hill, and Sopers hole in West End/Sopers Hole is close to get your provisions and has clothes and jewelry shopping, Pusser's restaurant, and "Voyages"to book day sails. Go to the "Baths" in Virgin Gorda--you will never see anything more spectacular. Sebastian's has great food, as well as local fare at Palm's Delight in Carrot Bay. New discovery was Scaramouche restaurant past the fuel dock at Sopers--very creative offerings with a great Chef. We have rented from Sam and JC many times, and they have always been such great hosts. We are heading back to Ridgemont in a few months. I have traveled throughout the Caribbean, and have lived in St Thomas, but once I took my first surf trip to Tortola in 1989, it was eye awakening to me of how relaxing the Island is and the beautiful nature and the locals. I have hardly missed a yearly visit since 1989.

Once you enter the gates, on the drive up to the house, you will notice that the landscaping is unbelievable, and you will know that you will be in for an incredible experience. Upon entering the house, you are greeted with amenities that are top notch. Huge kitchen Very modern washer and dryer. Sonos speakers throughout the house. Huge bedrooms. Unbelievable pool/views. A quick 12 steps up behind the Main House, there is a Gazebo that will allow you to see both sides of the Island. Just booked Ridgemont again. We have rented with Sam and JC at the Murray House for 2 years, Gun Point for one, and Ridgemont last year, and they cannot be more accomidating and friendly.

Family celebration at Ridgemont House

Our far flung family congregated at Ridgemont House this holiday season to celebrate the 80th birthdays of grandma and grandpa. We had a wonderful time and family members of all ages (the youngest was 16) really enjoyed the gorgeous, perfectly maintained property. The grandparents got the easily accessible first floor bedroom, but all bedrooms are beautiful and private and each has its own special feature. Up on the ridge you have incredible, ever-changing views and a steady light breeze. We thought the property should be renamed "Rainbow House" as we were treated to an incredible display of double, full round rainbows every day. We hiked down to the excellent beach and back up every day, we went snorkeling and swimming in nearby Smuggler's cove. We love cooking together and had all dinners at home - no restaurant could beat the setting! The house provided an ample and beautiful backdrop for our family to hang out together and relax. The managers were very responsive and helpful, whenever we made a suggestion it was done right away.

This estate is an Aman Resort-Level Experience

I'm a 30 year resident of the BVI who has been in all the Great Houses on Tortola, and am also a resident of Denmark. This spring, we rented this house for some old family friends, a family of seven who maintain two castles in Europe as their private residences and a major estate at the top of the Peak in Hong Kong. So, they know nice. Frankly, they were blown away by the house design and execution as much as they were the view and grounds. The entire place is fresh, tasteful, and dramatic, and the staff and property managers are all very friendly and helpful. There's not a person in the world I wouldn't recommend this property to as an amazing vacation setting.

Ridgemont House of Tortola

Ridgemont House is newly renovated and under new ownership. We knew it was a little risky to be the first ones to stay here after the renovation but it turned out to be the best vacation and best experience any of us (four couples) had ever had. The view from everywhere in the villa was breathtaking. The villa faces north with a 180 degree view of the Caribbean and surrounding islands—and there is a gazebo above the villa where you see both sides of the island. The infinity pool (beautiful) sits between the two buildings that make up the villa. Everything is sparkling new, freshly stocked, and newly decorated. The furniture, furnishings, linens, curtains, and all the rooms are well done and quite elegant. The kitchen is a knock out. There also is a separate kitchen in the bedroom where my wife and I stayed but we didn’t use it except for making coffee and keeping some cold drinks in the refrigerator. After we figured out how to connect our cell phones to the Sonos speaker system (you had to download the Sonos app), we were able to listen to our own music throughout the main areas. We hung out together in the living room, kitchen and dining room and lounged by the pool. But when we retreated to our own rooms it was as if each couple was the only couple in the villa. That is, it was quiet and very private. Also, if you are sharing the cost with other couples, every bedroom is comparable with a great view -- there is no awkwardness deciding who gets which bedroom. The villa is close to a couple of the best beaches and some lovely restaurants. As for Tortola, the island people are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Ridgemont House. We will be back!
