”The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”

”Really friendly welcome when we arrived. Room was big with lots of space, plenty of wardrobe space and places to put suitcases. Plenty of coffee/tea on offer with a couple of water bottles which was nice. Beds were super comfortable! Parking wasnt great (busy street so not hotels fault), when we arrived their car park was full so we parked on the street.”
