Extreamly dirty. Not safe. One electrical outlet with multiple extention cords plugged in. Check in waa 330....we arrived at five told us yo come back in a hour or cancel. Smelled like cat urine. One towel for two guest. Asked fir another told us they had to wash more. Horrible Unsafe Dirty place with extreamly rude host.

Had reservations for 3 nights. Upon arrival, I hit the buzzer several times, with no response. I called the number had for it, received message said to leave a message and will back to me soon. I called 20 minutes later and he hung the phone up with no response

I rated everything as terrible because the motel canceled my reservation without telling me. Most likely because I had a cheaper price through expedia. The woman at the desk told me that they do not use any reservation site for bookings, they only book people who call the motel directly. I was left out in the cold. I asked for help in possibly finding a room and was told to drive 5 miles down the road to the grocery store and use an ad book there. I was extremely lucky that I knew someone staying in the area and they let me kick their daughter out of her bed so I didn't have to sleep on the floor at 66 years old. I warn everyone NOT to book a room at Jeanie's Dream Motel. Remember, nightmares are dreams also!

Rural Accomodation

Nice little place in rural NY. Great diner 3 miles away serves yummy breakfasts. Aging but decent room. Needs a hairdryer.

Clean, odor-free. Comfortable, firm bed. Very little traffic noise. Room was small but adequate. Good value. Friendly reception. There are two diners in Richfield Springs, about 8 miles east; a surfeit restaurants in Cooperstown.

I reserved a room in April for June 6 and 7. We get the 15 minutes after check in time and told there are no rooms. I told the lady I had a reservation and she says "no room". We did this a few times figuring she thought I was looking to book. Getting frustrated, I went back to my car to show her the reservation confirmation. That's when I see an email from Expedia saying they can't accommodate me. The email was sent about 20 minutes before check in time. This is the second year in a row Jeannie's has stiffed us on our reserved room. We'll never be back. We went to town looking for where else we could say and they told us we don't want to stay at Jeannie's because the new owner rents to people just out of jail etc and there's a drug problem at the motel. Very disappointing. When Jeannie owned it, it was a nice motel. Not anymore.

Schizophrenic guy next to me was screaming in his room for hours. Lady on the other side let her little dog bark for twenty minutes at 4 am. Room was very tiny. Paid for a queen bed but got 2 twins instead. Also found a few pincer bugs in multiple spots around the room. Definitely will not be staying here again

They gave my room away to someone else even though i booked it weeks before and already paid for it. I had nowhere to stay and they didnt care. He was extremely rude wgen i tried to explainthat I needed this room. He told me they would refund me but i haven't gotten my money back.

I have no complaints, it was very clean and above my expectations, staff was friendly very friendly and also very helpful. They told me the heat in the room I was given possibly didn’t work and had provided a heater which actually wasn’t needed since heat was indeed working. Overall my only complaint is there a few spots that I don’t think are cleaned often such as windowsills. Bed sheets towels and everything else was very clean. Overall I have no complaints and I think they are doing a fantastic job with up keep. The pizza nearby is also pretty tasty.

The room was not cleaned. There was toothpaste spit in the sink and urine around the outside of the toilet. When I went to say something at the front desk no one answered. I had to buy my own cleaning supplies and left first thing in the morning even though I was charged for the whole week. I didnt expect much for the price. But this was the worst I have ever seen.

Cheap. You get what you pay for

AC worked, and the bed was relatively comfortable with clean sheets. Other than that, the room was very small, the microwave was rusty inside and was completely missing the plate. The shower was tiny and I kept hitting my elbows on the walls. If wifi is advertised, then that is false. It's cheap and on a main road, about 30min from Cooperstown where the prices go way up. I grew up in the area so I knew what I was getting into, but the lack of wifi and condition of the microwave threw me off. There was also no trash can in the bathroom and the one in the room had no bag and looked dirty inside.

My experience was mixed. To be fair, I expected (and received) a no frills budget experience given the premium prices in the surrounding area. But check-in was seriously flawed, there was no sense that I had a reservation and in busier times I don’t doubt my room would have been resold. Room #1 reeked of smoke - smoke or damp smells are not uncommon for old motels but this was on the strong side. No garbage can in the room or in the bathroom, which is ridiculous for anyone but especially for feminine hygiene. If I ever return I would definitely call ahead multiple times to validate my room is still available.

this hotel was supposed to be smoke free, it was anything but. our room wreaked of years of cigarette smoke that they attempted to paint over, the rugs were dirty and obviously retained the smell of years of smoking. there were no other venues in the area for us to stay so we had no choice we were in the area for a family funeral. we stayed out of the room as long as possible but still woke with the feeling of second hand smoking 2 packs of cigarettes. we were also assessed a 29 dollar cleaning fee at check in that we were not aware of and obviously not used for its intended purpose.
