Chalet't – Western Lake District

”The room was clean beside a blood stain on one of the duvets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue as the road was being resurfaced, but the staff did tell us where the best place to park was. The breakfast was excellent, it really set us up for a day in the hills. Overall a good value room for visiting the Lakes.”

”The hotel had a beautiful view! We had the room with the larger windows looking directly at the mountains. The staff was super helpful, we had to take extra twenty minutes to check out and they were very helpful about that. The food was lovely. And parking was ample as well!”

”This was our first time staying at an independent hotel and we were welcomed by a polite staff member. However, the conditions of the room and amenities of it could’ve been better such as the shower, the floor and walls. The shower was mouldy, the floor was very squeaky for both our room and neighbours making the noise doubled and the walls had no purpose whatsoever as they were so thin , hearing neighbours frequently. ”A beautiful setting. The parkland with peacocks and chickens was great to walk around with our dog. Rooms spacious and clean with good facilities and restaurant food excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful - a great place to stay especially as a base for walking/visiting the Lake Distrct.”

”If booking a room with a city I would suggest requesting this as we didn’t know we had to and ended up with a view of catering extractor fans and air conditioning units. Also the room we stayed in was a card fob which you would atomically think upon leaving your room and the door shut g it would lock and you would need to key card to gain entry up until this open g we hadn’t realised our room had been unlocked when we went out on hikes and meals meaning anyone could have helped themselves to our...

”My wife and I had a great stay at this property for a 4-day visit to the Lake District and could not have been happier. It's located on a quiet street of homes and guest houses, but is a short walk to the center of Keswick as well as my new favorite movie theater, the Alhambra Cinema, and our now-beloved local, the Dog & Gun Pub.
