We could not use the refrigerator, as it smelled of rotten meat. We asked for a refund and were denied. We were not offered a partial refund. We were offered a complimentary night stay. ”We love the uniqueness of this property, it was cozy and serene, the locked gate was especially nice as it made us feel extra safe. The Hawthorne area is quaint and loaded with dining and shopping options; while streets are busy it is quite walkable, and not far from gorgeous areas like Mt. Tabor Park. Comfortable couch and bed, small but well designed bathroom and kitchenette, both stocked with supplies to make the stay simple. ”Our stay was absolutely perfect. The host communicated very quickly (though no issues to report). The unit had everything you could possibly need down to dog bowls and earplugs (though it was not noisy at all). The fenced in area was perfect to enjoy coffee and let our dog off leash. The walkability was fantastic - close to wonderful restaurants and coffee shops (be sure to try Slims and get curry or ahi tuna bowl).
