”We stayed in the pretty garden room which looked out onto the courtyard garden. It was so peaceful and quiet at the hotel, despite its great central location. Our room was lovely and spacious, with high windows and ceilings, and the bed/bedding were of a high standard. Sofie, who runs the hotel, couldn’t have been nicer - there were surprise birthday treats for my husband when we arrived, extra towels were provided when needed, and Sofie was discreetly on hand to offer any advice on where to...

”A remarkable place to stay. As a hotel it does have it's limitations- light and soundproofing are both quite poor. However the bed was very comfy, the WiFi was decent, the bathrooms were very clean and the shower was good. Decent continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. The main reason for staying here is to experience this historic building and the stories it has to tell. From that point of view it is amazing. So no it isn't the most luxurious place I've ever stayed but it might well be...

”Stains on the furniture and headboard of the bed. Stairs to get up to room were so narrow and dark - my husband rolled his ankle trying to get up. Room was very dirty - and not well maintained. Would not recommend. Staff were not helpful nor present. ”
