”We stayed there as it was convenient for a conference we were attending close by. Clevedon was lovely, the hotel was ideally situated on the sea front. We were told we had been upgraded, our room was large and comfortable with an extra bed and sofa. We ate in the bar in the evening, the menu was typical pub food, but reasonably priced and very tasty. ”Rather a quirky place on the edge of Bristol. There is a bus stop right outside, very convenient, took about 40 minutes into city centre so no parking to worry about. Our room was rather dark with heavy wood and colour scheme, but well enough equipped, although there was a considerable amount of traffic noise. Tiny shower and diy breakfast (plenty of it). The owner was away but the gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and chatty. This was not a luxury stay but fine for a stopover. ”

”The pub/hotel is on the Main Street across from the petrol station so we expected it to be noisy but thankfully it wasn’t in the room. You check in at the bar which can be problematic if you bring your luggage in with you as it can be packed with bar patrons. The rooms are in a separate building which is quite new, parking is first come first serve for both hotel and general public so we had to park down the street until we could find one closer. Dinner at the pub was good, but recommended that...

”It was nice. Especially the breakfast and access to coffee machine. Only issue was that we would have preferred a double bed as was not too comfortable on the twin. ”

”I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However the wardrobe was in need of repair and the fridge had old food in it. The bedside cabinets had a layer of dust but I base my review on comfort and hospitality ”

”Nice quiet place. Quite ordinary but very good value. Clean property and rooms with a lovely conservatory and beautiful grounds. 1000'walk to beach access. Away from loud concessions and restaurants, it does have a bar on site with limited hours. Breakfast cooked to order perfectly each morning and friendly staff. Family run. ”

”Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. ”
