I had to cut my stay short because this condo was not usable for me. The main bed is over 34 inches high — far above a standard 24–25 inch bed — and requires a step stool to access. The stool is provided in the room, which proves the owners already know this is a problem. Yet this nonstandard feature was never disclosed in the listing.I am undergoing cancer treatment and have had a mastectomy, hysterectomy, and hand surgery. Because of these, I could not use the stool to pull myself into bed — it was impossible to get in and out without pain.When I raised this, management brushed it off as “preference” and said “other guests have no complaints.” That dismisses the fact this was an ADA-protected accessibility issue, not décor or comfort. Accessibility isn’t about what most guests can tolerate; it’s about whether all guests can safely use the unit.The problems didn’t stop there. The listing showed a recliner sofa, but the unit had a small stiff sofa. I booked specifically for the recliner to recover after chemo, and it wasn’t there. The WiFi was out the whole stay, and the pillows and towels were literally threadbare.These issues may not matter to every guest, but for those with health concerns or who rely on accurate listings, they are significant. The lack of disclosure, the dismissive response, and refusal to refund made this stay unusable for me.
