Chalet't – Wevertown

”We have stayed several times in this home. This was our first time visiting in spring time. The home is beautifully situated directly on the Hudson. The river melt running by was amazing. It was a beautiful sight to wake up to out the primary bedroom sliding glass doors.The home is a quaint Adirondack home with every cooking utensil and appliances one could possibly need; perfect for home cooking, if desired. Built more than 100 years ago, you see hand-hewn beams supporting the second floor, floors made up of varying-width boards, rooms large enough for their intended purpose without empty space. We were both intrigued and overwhelmed by the vast differences in home building then and now. That era saw families and neighbors coming together to fill a need. ”The lack of empathy due to my inability to fly to the east coast and the necessity to cancel my trip. I was attending a family reunion on my 70th birthday due to over 250 cancelation and close to 1000 delays. Initially, I assumed the odor was the result of recent cleaning, but there was no improvement by the following morning. I reported the issue to the front desk and was advised that there were no other rooms available that night. ”This was our second trip to the Hobby Farm. It’s the perfect place, exactly as described. Great access to hiking and an awesome place to recharge. The pizza is THE BEST!”

”Check in was easy, friendly front desk person. Our room on the other hand, the carpet was sticky, hole in the wall, ceiling looked just patched, broken fire detector, smelled funny, things chipping away and found on floor, shower pressure? And odd fixture, bed was sticky as well (thankfully we carry our own blankets) we were out majority of the time. Literally just to sleep and get out.”
