”The hotel is lovely and the staff are the most caring. We arrived late in the night and they were ready to make us food even though the kitchen was closed. The room was spacy and the beds were comfy. Tiny downside was that the wifi doesn't work in the rooms, only in the lobby, and was very slow even there.”

”Need air conditioners! I do understand it is Ireland and it’s not usually this hot , but with climate changing, it was very uncomfortable in the room in at night. Windows were open street noise was very loud. Everything else was fantastic, but it was way too hot, and I’m from Florida where it is always hot.”

”The hotel runs with the efficiency of a well-oiled machine. The staff are polite and very attentive while the food is to a very high standard overall. Our room was cosy and clean, although the absence of a lift can prove problematic for anyone with a disability. Well located, the hotel affords easy access to the surrounding area. Overall, the hotel exudes a homely feel, offering good food, attentive service and comfortable accommodation.”

”Unbeatable place, views are amazing, only problem is there's no AC and that wouldn't be an issue if there were mosquito windows nets, you are in the middle of the woods and there's mosquitos everywhere the room get super hot bc u can't open a single window at night, also there's no lobby restroom or any other restroom besides your room I understand this is not a typical hotel but the property is huge so you could definitely fit one.”

”We were traveling with two adults and two teenagers and were a bit nervous about staying over a popular pub. It turned out to be the absolute decision we could have made. We had a room with a double bed and two twins, which was perfect for our family. The pub isn't so loud that it bothers you while you are in your room - the only thing we had was a bit of street noice, but that's par for the course. The food in the pub is great too! The center location couldn't have been better - there is street...

You will enjoy the grounds, the bar, the sitting room and everything about Gougane Barra.”
