Our stay was disappointing overall.
First, the address provided by Expedia led us to a sister property, so we had to check in there first, wait in line, get directions, and then drive to the actual hotel. This added about 20–30 minutes to the check-in process unnecessarily. It wasn’t terrible, but it was inconvenient and poorly communicated.
The lobby looks modern and recently renovated, but the room itself felt very dated. The unit had a strong 1989s feel: the stove appeared original, the furniture was old and unstable, and there was a slight musty smell throughout the room. The overall condition felt neglected.
The bathroom setup was also awkward — having a shower directly in the bedroom area is not something most guests would appreciate and did not feel comfortable or private.
Another major frustration was parking. We wanted to ski on the day of departure. In most Whistler hotels, you can keep your car in the garage for the full 24 hours you paid for. Here, however, parking must be vacated by 1:00 PM, regardless of your check-out time. This feels unreasonable and not guest-friendly.
In summary, while the lobby looks nice, the rooms and policies do not match expectations. With better communication, room updates, and more flexible parking, this property could be improved significantly.
