Situated on 40 acres of pristine wilderness, the Whitefish North Star Ranch Chalet offers a tranquil escape while being conveniently located just 8 miles from downtown Whitefish, where you can explore charming shops, savor delectable cuisine at local restaurants, and more. Additionally, you're only 10 miles away from City Beach, perfect for summer relaxation, and 15 miles from Whitefish Mountain Resort, a haven for both summer and winter outdoor enthusiasts.

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS a 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property in the snow.
This mountain home spans a generous 3282 square feet across three levels, ensuring ample space for your group. The chalet features 6 bedrooms (2 with exterior entrances), and 6 full bathrooms, accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably.

Access to the property is via the front exterior stairs, leading you into the expansive main-level great room, complete with wood floors and a wood beam ceiling. The living room is adorned with comfortable mountain furnishings, including a queen sleeper sofa and a large smart TV. Its wood-burning fireplace and window-side seating offer a cozy ambiance and breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. The fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless appliances, including a gas stovetop and double ovens. A 4-seat dining table and a center island with seating for four, or step out onto the wrap-around deck to enjoy additional patio seating and outdoor dining while taking in the gorgeous views. On the main level, you'll find a game/bonus room equipped with ping pong and foosball tables, along with several tables for dining, games, or conversations. Guests can relax on the wrap-around deck and take in the breathtaking surroundings or embark on hikes across the 40-acre property.

Bedroom 1— On the upper level this room features two queen beds, a smart TV, and double slider doors that lead to a private balcony with patio chairs and stunning views. It also has an en suite bathroom with two sinks and a tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 2 — Located on the lower level, this room offers a full-size bed and a twin bed, along with exterior access. It includes an en suite private bath with a tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 3 — This lower-level bedroom features a full-size bed, exterior access, and access to a full shared bath.
Bedroom 4 — Also on the lower level, this room includes two sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds, exterior access, and access to a full shared bath.
Bedroom 5 – Located on the lower level, with an exterior-only entrance, you will find two full-size beds, a desk, a Smart TV, and a private bath with a tub/shower combo.
Bedroom 6 – Located next to the garage, with an exterior-only entrance, this bedroom provides a full-size bed, a twin bed, and a twin day bed, and access to a full shared bath 6 with a tub/shower combo.
Full Shared Bathroom 3 – Lower level offering a vanity and a shower.
Full Shared Bathroom 4 – Located on the main level and offers a tub/shower combo.

In the winter, downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides 3,000+ skiable acres, 14 lifts with terrain for all skill levels and stunning views. The resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! There are plenty of other winter activities from snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and more. Of course, you'll also want to explore downtown Whitefish eateries and galleries and don't miss Winter Carnival with a parade and skijoring!

In the summer, enjoy all the watersports imaginable at Whitefish Lake, or any of the 100+ lakes & rivers within 100 miles, including Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Whitefish Mountain Resort also provides endless activities such as mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic chair or gondola rides (with Glacier National Park views). Speaking of Glacier National Park, it's only 45 minutes away from Whitefish! Don't miss the breathtaking Going-To-The-Sun road, Lake McDonald, and 70+day hikes! You'll also want to take advantage of the Whitefish Trail system with 43 miles of hiking & biking trails, as well as great restaurants, art galleries, breweries, distilleries, a train museum, golf courses and local events such as Huckleberry Days, farmer's markets, rodeos and Under the Big Sky music festival!

Getting around Whitefish and to Whitefish Mountain Resort is a breeze with the FREE snow bus! The snow bus is a free shuttle service during peak winter and summer seasons. There are stops all around town and on the mountain. Whitefish also has Uber, Lyft and Taxis.
