Big Mountain Road Retreat - The home is perfectly located for your Whitefish adventure. Located at the bottom of Big Mountain Road between the ski hill and downtown Whitefish. Just 2.5 miles via road or the bike path into downtown Whitefish and just 5 miles to the top of the ski hill. The home has been completely renovated inside and out over the past year and was just completed in the Spring of 2023. The restorations include brand new flooring, bathrooms, cabinetry, appliances, furniture, linens dishes, and more. AC for those hot summer days. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, all on one level with an attached double-car garage. All on two acres. The large master bedroom has a comfortable king bed, a large tiled and glassed shower and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds. The living space flows beautifully from the kitchen, dining and living room. Relax in the living room and visit with folks in the kitchen. K-cup and Mr. Coffee style coffee makers. Washer and dryer in unit. Back patio and fence for privacy. Fence.

Located in the heart of Whitefish, close to the lake and ski resort...this home is the perfect cozy and relaxing getaway in Whitefish.

The Big Mountain Rd. Retreat is only 20 minutes from Glacier International Airport, 10 minutes from Whitefish Ski and Summer Resort and only 40 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National Park.

Whitefish, Montana is the perfect place for a vacation in WINTER or SUMMER! Walk out the front door and you are just minutes from enjoying the best Montana recreational activities: alpine skiing, cross country treks, fishing, hiking, rafting, golfing, art galleries, gourmet dining, & live theater …the activities are endless. Downtown Whitefish is a quaint town with great restaurants, boutique shops, spas, nightlife, and farmer's market (food, arts & crafts, and music) in summertime.

We have a 60-day cancellation policy. More than 60 days notice, full refund minus $100 administrative fee. Less than 60 days, no refunds.

Perfect Whitefish Home Base

This home was absolutely perfect for us. We packed lunches for our daily adventures, cooked many meals in the well appointed kitchen, and played games at night at the kitchen table. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and watched the stars after the sun finally set after 10pm. The decor is lovely, the home is so comfortable and really made our vacation. Thank you!

Relaxation near the forest

We completely enjoyed our experience. This home sits next to a forest where deer frequently roam in the yard. The beds are comfortable. The town of Whitefish has great restaurants and shopping about 5 mins away. My husband found it very easy to leave this home on his bike and enjoy some nice rides. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Amazing Home

This home was immaculate. In a Beautiful setting and convenient to all the areas we visited. Situated in a tranquil and safe area. Deer visits every am and pm. The owners have truly done an amazing job making their home so inviting and comfortable. Master bed was very comfortable; we did not use other rooms. The home is designed beautifully. Very impressed with EVERYTHING about it. There is no lacking in supplies of any kind that you may need. The communication with Manager of the property was very efficient and prompt. We have been fortunate and Blessed to travel to some Beautiful places and encounter some Beautiful homes, this was truly ONE of them!!!! I would not even hesitate to stay again if we ever have the opportunity to visit again. Truly a Remarkable stay. Thank you to the Owners for sharing your home, and to Stumptown for the MOST EFFICIENT people I have ever encountered when renting a home. amazing staff!

My husband and I had the most enjoyable stay in Whitefish. The home was in a perfect location, nicely updated, and incredibly cozy. Communication and check-in went smoothly. We were even able to check in to the house several hours early. We are already planning our trip for next year.

Modern, comfortable home with privacy

We had 5 adults and there was plenty of room to spread out. We especially liked the convenient location but with a privacy fence bordering the road and a backyard surrounded by woods. The interior design of the home was wonderful. A fire pit and BBQ grill would be nice additions.

Conference in Whitefish

The house was wonderful and helped our group decompress after a day of conferencing. It feels secluded though is a very short distance from downtown. The inside felt very modern, it was clean, and our bed was heavenly! We also were easily able to communicate with the host and found her to be very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect place to stay for our MT vacation. Just a couple miles out of town gives you the best of both worlds. The house was immaculate with all the comforts of home. If you are looking to stay in Whitefish, this place will not disappoint.

Very nice place in a beautiful town

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully renovated home. Very comfortable and close to town. The home is surrounded by woods and we saw deer each day. The only negative is the booking process. I was surprised they wanted to run a background check on me. It was a bit off putting. I’ve stayed in VRBO’s in many places, including a $2M home in Big Sky just prior to this.

Lovely property!

We had such a comfortable stay at this White Fish home. Perfectly located to enjoy the beauty of the land and wildlife. Cabin was clean, beds comfortable and well stocked! Enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard everyday and one morning we were blessed to view a mama bear and her cub strolling through the back yard!! ❤️
