”Lovely little place, beautifully presented / decor. Waking up to the sounds of the native birds, surrounded by trees really made you feel like you were rugged up in a tree house. Only recommendation would be to put the books in a container as they smell slightly musty and if possible providing a pair of scissors (for coffee sachets etc) would be great. Could be quite chilly if staying over winter but there are heaters provided. Otherwise 10/10 would absolutely stay again.”

”Was conveniently located for anyone catching the early morning ferry to the south island. Nice clean and spacious place. Great communication from the host. Just be aware for anyone with mobility issues you will need to carry luggage up some stairs. ”

”Forest House is warm, comfortable, spacious and attractively furnished. It is in a private and quiet setting close to Lake Ferry and Martinborough. The cleaning fee was on the high side for just 2 people, but it was very clean and well maintained and there was no problem keeping warm in winter with the fire and Air conditioning. Great communication, enjoyed our time at Forest House. Only thing we missed was a normal sized oven tray and a normal sized cheese grater! Other than that, perfect.”

”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White House. The house is beautiful, spacious and well appointed. The property is so open and peaceful, and our dogs loved exploring the area. The fireplace and outdoor bath made for a perfect winter getaway. Can't wait to stay again!”
