âFrom the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

âThe room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English.â

âJust DONâT. We were misled by pics and text - paid ÂŁ102 for a shoebox room with minimal facilities and staff not overly helpful. We chose as it looked like they had a Greek restaurant plus steaks - turned up to be told they only do pizzas! We went somewhere else to eat. No breakfast as we are told the toaster isnât working! Total joke of a place. Didnât even give them any trade arms the bar. Never to return. â

âA Husband and wife run the B+B. They were very welcoming to us. You could order breakfast the night before, for anytime between 7-9. It was made to order as well. The room had a super-king bed which was fantastic. The bathroom was very modern. The Lounge/dinning area is full of wonderful antiques. The house itself is over 400 years old. Overall, a great experience, happy to stay there again and have recommended it to other friends.â
