”Clean room and helpful staff with a great view”

”Downside, pool gates didn’t unlock with the keys. Otherwise, everything else was great. Breakfast, courtyard, pool… no concerns.”

”So perfect for the night we got married!! We had a mossy fern wedding theme and there are only boring hotels in the area except this sweet quiet magic box in the woods. The bed was SO comfortable, we arrived at 11:30pm with no problem checking in. The huge window to the trees was so romantic and we didn’t see another human the entire time we were there. We cracked the window to sleep and heard owls in the night.”

”We stayed in Rm 419. It was very clean and had a great view of the water. Bed was comfy. Front desk staff were friendly. We didn't mind but front desk staff leave around 9 p.. It would have been nice to have the hot rub open until 10 pm and for adults only from 8-10.”

”I like this property and have stayed here many times. It is my go to in Anacortes because rooms are large, quiet, and well heated in the winter. However it is aging and the breakfast really isn’t there. Breakfast has gone downhill steadily especially after Covid. They could do a lot immediately by upping the breakfast game. However it’s also time to start room renovations like new mattresses and linens.”

”The night staff was so nice to us. We got in super late and we had to wake him up but he was so kind. We only stayed for 3 hours, just to rest before the ferry but he was so kind to us. It's a lovely hotel.”

”Off the busy road in Anacortes, so it was quiet. We were going to arrive late and they waited for us so they could give us the key. This was very helpful. I liked staying there. It was my second time.”

”It's a small, very well run motel. The staff is very accommodating and the motel is perfectly located within walking distance of virtually anything you want from dinner to groceries. As a plus each room has a front and back bed room with a kitchenette in between. We are cyclists and stay there often when heading for a san juan island your. We've never been disappointed.”

”The Hero is great for a romantic getaway with spa services. The jetted tubs in the rooms are enormous. The ambiance is cozy. The free breakfast includes eggs made to order. The massages are awesome. We will be back.”

”This property was great. There was a good pet area at the back of the hotel with easy in and out access from all of the rooms. The breakfast had lots if selections With everything from juice, fruit, eggs and hash browns and sausage. Staff was very helpful and the hotel even had a great space for smokers! We were so impressed we sre staying again in July with 13 family members. Great Job La Quenta staff!”
