The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. ”The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

”We had a lovely break despite some gloomy weather. The cottage was warm and cosy and easily big enough for 4 of us. The owners were friendly and helpful with great suggestions about what to do. If you want a quiet break away from crowds this was great. We did some great cycling routes and some lovely quiet walking. Some nice cafes in the village and we enjoyed a lovely evening in the local pub.”
