Welcome to a peaceful East Grand Traverse Bay retreat where comfort, nature, and convenience come together just steps from the beach.

Thoughtfully designed for couples, solo travelers, and small groups of up to four, this studio at The Shores offers a Queen bed, full-size sleeper sofa, full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a private cedar deck with peek-a-boo views of the bay.

Begin the morning with coffee on the deck, follow the boardwalk to 600 feet of shared sandy beach, or spend the day exploring downtown Traverse City, Northern Michigan's wineries, and the surrounding waterfront communities.

The Studio

The sleeping area includes a Queen bed with hotel-quality linens, while the living space offers a full-size sleeper sofa for additional guests. Sliding glass doors fill the studio with natural light and open directly onto the private cedar deck.

A Smart TV provides access to streaming apps and cable. WiFi, heating, air conditioning, cleaning essentials, linens, indoor towels, and complimentary parking are also provided.

The studio accommodates a maximum of four guests.

Kitchen and Dining

The full kitchen makes the studio suitable for both short visits and extended stays. It includes a stovetop, oven, microwave, full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, tea kettle, cookware, utensils, dishes, and wine glasses.

An indoor dining table seats four, and additional seating is available outside on the deck.

Sleeping and Bathroom

The studio includes one Queen bed and one full-size sleeper sofa. The full bathroom features a shower and tub combination, vanity, storage, and fresh towels.

A private washer and dryer are available inside the unit for added convenience.

Private Deck and Beach Access

The private cedar deck is surrounded by trees and fresh lake air, with peek-a-boo views of East Grand Traverse Bay and the sound of a nearby stream.

A short walk along the boardwalk leads to 600 feet of shared sandy beach at The Shores. Wooded walking paths and seasonal kayak, paddleboard, and other water rentals are also available nearby.

Bayshore Park provides additional public beach access, picnic areas, grills, and family-friendly outdoor space. Please bring your own beach towels.

Pool Access

Pool access is not included with the reservation. Guests who book a spa treatment at Grand Traverse Resort can receive same-day pool access. The concierge team can assist with spa arrangements.

True North Touches

A bottle of Chateau Chantal sparkling wine awaits at check-in. Every stay also includes complimentary access to Iron House Gym and access to THE TRUE NORTH concierge team.

Additional experiences can be arranged upon request, including private chef services, in-home massage, photography, and celebration décor.

Getting Around

Grand Traverse Resort is approximately five minutes away, while Horse Shows by the Bay is approximately eight minutes away. Downtown Traverse City can be reached in approximately 10 minutes, and the wineries of Old Mission and Leelanau are approximately 25 minutes away.

Restaurants, takeout options, grocery stores such as Meijer, beaches, festivals, shopping, nightlife, and water activities are all within easy reach.

Good to Know

Maximum occupancy is four guests. Please register the correct number of guests when booking, as a $50 fee applies for each unregistered guest.

Pets, parties, and events are not permitted. Smoking or vaping is prohibited inside the studio and on the deck. Violations are subject to a $1,000 fine.

Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Fireworks and open flames are not allowed.

Indoor towels are provided, but guests should bring their own beach towels. A $100 fee applies for a lost key or access card.

Check-In and Check-O

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
