”Communicating with the host was frustrating. An hour before arrival there was still back and forth communication because she did not have the booking due some issue with her Vrbo account. Booking was made for 3 guests, bedding was only provided for 2 guests. Requested additional bedding, only duvet and pillows delivered at 9am, no sheets. Give this property a miss if you want to avoid frustration and poor service. ”

”We only stayed at the property for one night as a stopover between tours. The place is nice and very conveniently located within walkable distance to the few sights there are to see in Windhoek, and some restaurants and coffee shops. I got e-mails with two different unit numbers so there was some confusion at the check-in which one was the correct one. Also, the electric meter was not "filled up" so the security person had to contact the property manager to do that in order for us not to run out...

We especially appreciated how well the air conditioning worked since we rarely experienced that at the other lodges around Namibia. The guard to The Village was helpful too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.”

”I did the booking and when I got there the were no apartment available for me because the owner who does not have an apartment there any more. Talking to the security his informed that that guy does that all the time and when people get there he negotiate and get them to another place making an impression that he his helping. "Cozy room, good showers (also hand held showers), plug near the bed. Tasty breakfast. The only minus is that the room was a bit dimly lit. "

"Good, but nothing extra. Only 2 plugs in the room (1 European, 1 Nam) far from the bed. Breakfast was varied but not very tasty. One morning they were out of everything (breads, yogurt, muesli, fruit, warm food like potatoes and sausages, coffee, the coffee machine was empty as well). Took me over half an hour to finally be ready to eat. The breakfast room is very noisy as well. One morning the cleaner tried to come in at 8, I was still asleep, took me ages to convince her to come back later. Their roof bar/restaurant isn't the best in town either, try Sky bar at Hilton. In general not the best value for money but okay (Hilton is nicer in every aspect). "
