”We loved our stay at the cabin! The Hucks hospitality made our stay exceptionally enjoyable! They gave excellent restaurant recommendations and we visited the lake bog they also recommend. We also enjoyed walking through the trails on the property. We were disappointed that oddly we seen no wildlife on the property not even a squirrel or rabbit. We loved our stay and appreciate how the Hucks made our stay so very much enjoyable. ”

”was fantastic. Had a lot of character. Was rustic, but had everything you need like heat/ac and wi-fi. The out house was surprisingly nice. Bare essentials for cooking. The neighborhood was pretty empty at the time of our stay, very private. The view was beautiful from the cabin, right on the water..Beautiful stars at night. It was our first time in northern maine, would love to come back.”

”This was our first time in Aroostook County and we weren’t sure what to expect and now we can’t wait to come back! This house was truly amazing! It had everything that we needed to make our week magical. It was perfect for our dogs and the lake was perfect. The water was great and we loved exploring the different parts of the lake on our paddle board. Cross ride to the Canada boarder, easy to cross into NB and get back. Overall, perfect place for a family vacation.”

”We really enjoyed our stay! This property was great for us. We were a multi family group attending a biathlon event at the FKOC. The multiple rooms with their own bathrooms were amazing. There was also lots of room to socialize. The kitchen was also very well appointed making it easy to cook large dinners. I would highly recommend this property.”

”Property, quiet, peaceful, clean, and safe, also well supplied with all needed utensils. We were there in winter though and did not have running water, which was the only inconvenience related to cooking, so did not cook. Shower and toilets in separate building, took a minute to reacquaint oneself with treks outside to the restroom and shower.”

”My Family had a small reunion at Portage Lake. The cabin ended up being the perfect meeting spot. We had dinner there every night. The grill and burners outside were perfect for a clambake and grilling. We sat by the fire pit, with the children fishing, riding bikes and making smores. Every little detail is thoughtfully attended to, from the comfortable beds and bedding to the kitchen with everything you need, to the extras, like the games, fireplace, and two tv’s. The host is quick to respond to any questions. We have stayed in many vacation houses and this was one of the very best!”
