”Nice clean friendly hotel. Staff excellent. Somewhat dated room with low toilet and low vanity. No usable blinds on windows for privacy. A camper with the slides out was in the parking lot and two unleashed dogs were roaming the lot and approached us. Not sure why they allowed this camper. ”

”Very easy access from Route 80, the building looks older but is clean and seemingly well maintained - no garbage/litter around the facility. Check in was easy - the lobby was clean, no odd odors. The room was clean, did not smell smoky, musty, everything worked. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was adequate to get you going in the morning. The price was very competitive. I would stay here again if in the area.”

”The facility was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The area was quiet but a little remote. We had to travel a few miles into Michigan to find places to eat. Breakfast quality and quantity was good. We especially appreciate real brewed coffee, unlike the coffee sludge machines to which many other hotel chains have switched.”

”We stopped for the night in the middle of a long drive. Dinner in South Bend, near the University of Notre Dame, then another half hour to our room. The hotel and its staff perfectly met our needs. It was clean, quiet and pretty well-maintained. Our bathroom showed some noticeable wear but the bedroom was great. We only met the front clerk in passing, but they came across as good people, helpful and professional.”

”Overnight stay to be able to attend Ship Chic in Shipshewana. Needed a place with 4 bedrooms for 4 adult females. Emma’s place fit the bill. Great communication, adorable house. Only issue was garage next door had roofers starting at 7:30 am and property owner has no control over that. We’re hoping to travel up that way again and would love to have a repeat stay at Emma’s Place”
