This was our favorite hotel in our stay, well appointed hope to return. You need a car because it is remote from public transport, plenty of free parking at the same level as hotel. The staff was wonderful! This place is well worth a journey!”
”We traveled around Japan for three weeks, but our stay at Asahikan was definitely the highlight of our trip. It was three wonderful days of amazing Michelin-level food, hot baths and relaxing in yukata - surrounded by an interior architectural gem. Asahikan is easily accessible from Osaka and Kyoto - a short train ride followed by a short bus/taxi ride. We took the taxi, which was very cheap and easy.

”I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience about this stay. The property is located in an incredibly remote area with absolutely no stores or restaurants nearby. Be aware that the on-site pizza restaurant is closed several days a week, and when it is, you cannot even use the terrace. There are no walking trails around the area, and the owner offered zero recommendations for things to do or places to eat.
