Casa Dorado is surrounded by permanent and seasonal residents who value the area’s peaceful environment. Loud music, disruptive gatherings, parties and vehicles parked in front of neighboring homes or driveways are prohibited and will not be tolerated. Please note that quiet hours are 9pm - 8am - no music is allowed during this time.

There's a playful side to the design, too, from the custom hanging king bed in the primary suite to the separate game room where a friendly foosball competition can easily take over the afternoon.



With 2,120 square feet of interior space, five bedrooms, and multiple places to gather indoors and out, Casa Dorado is especially well suited to families and groups of friends. Please note that the pool is not heated, and water temperatures vary with the season and weather.



The generous covered outdoor gathering area makes it easy to keep everyone together for meals without retreating indoors. Fire up the BBQ, spread out dinner at the table for 10 to 12, or settle into the shade while others enjoy the pool. Outdoor and life-size games add a little friendly competition, and the propane fire pit provides a welcoming place to gather once the desert cools down.



Beyond the outdoor living areas, five acres of open Yucca Mesa landscape give the property a wonderfully spacious feel. Joshua trees, mountain scenery, and wide desert skies provide the backdrop, with plenty of room to appreciate the slower pace of the surroundings.

Inside, the living room is comfortable and full of natural light, with vaulted ceilings, built-in shelving, and glass doors that bring the desert landscape into view. A caramel leather sofa, a second upholstered sofa, and a richly patterned rug give the bright room warmth and personality.



It's an inviting place to gather after a day exploring Joshua Tree, whether you're catching up over drinks, choosing a movie on the Apple TV, or settling in with one of the home's books or games. The open layout keeps the living room connected to the kitchen and dining area, so conversations can continue even when everyone has found a different place to relax.



-Kitchen and Dining-

Casa Dorado's kitchen is bright, modern, and practical for preparing meals throughout your stay. White cabinetry, warm butcher-block counters, and a Samsung Bespoke refrigerator create a clean, welcoming space, with a cooktop, large air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker for everyday convenience. Cookware, dishes, and utensils are provided. Please note that the kitchen does not have a conventional oven.



An adjacent dining table seats six beneath a sculptural woven pendant, making it a lovely spot for breakfast, morning coffee, or a casual meal together. For larger gatherings, the covered outdoor dining area seats 10 to 12, so the entire group can enjoy dinner outside after an afternoon by the pool.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Casa Dorado offers five bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with sleeping arrangements that work especially well for families and groups of friends.



Three bedrooms feature king beds, providing comfortable accommodations for couples or guests who appreciate extra room to stretch out. The primary suite is particularly memorable, with a custom wood-framed hanging king bed suspended from the ceiling, a relaxed sitting area, and warm natural textures. Its private ensuite bathroom includes a spacious glass-enclosed shower.



A fourth bedroom features two bunk beds with four twin mattresses in total, giving younger guests or friends sharing a room their own sleeping space.



The fifth bedroom is located in the detached pool house and features a queen sleeper sofa. With its own exterior entrance, it offers a separate place to sleep away from the main home's bedrooms. Please note that the pool house is not accessed from inside the main house.



There are two full bathrooms in total, including the primary ensuite. Fresh linens, towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, hangers, and hair dryers are provided for your stay.

The separate pool house adds another dimension to a stay at Casa Dorado. Part game room and part flexible living space, it's a great place for guests to break away from the main house without missing out on the fun.

Casa Dorado is in Yucca Mesa, where quiet acreage properties and open desert views keep things peaceful, with Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, Pioneertown, Flamingo Heights and Landers all around. Hike among rock formations and Joshua trees in the national park, browse vintage shops and local restaurants in Old Town Yucca Valley, or explore the galleries and cafés of downtown Joshua Tree. Pioneertown offers Old West history, live music and desert dining, and Landers is home to the Integratron and its sound baths.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that Casa Dorado is in a remote location, and the final stretch to the home is on dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.
