”The Yearling will always have a very special place in my heart. It is old Florida charm at its finest. The cabins are not 5-star accommodations, but rather exactly what you would expect to find located on Cross Creek between Lake Orange and Lake Lochloosa. ”We had a great type staying the very adorable tiny house! It was well decorated (maybe too well) and the host was extremely responsive and helpful. We had never used a composting toilet before - so that what was our least favorite part. Everything else was top notch. We all found sleeping in the lofts to be very cozy and comforting. ”We stayed over a long weekend for a swim meet. Location was close to shops and restaurants which was convenient for our group. Don was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We had the unfortunate mishap of a power outage due to a downed electrical line after a vehicle hit it down the street, but he kept in contact with updates and power was quickly restored. ”This property was exactly as it was listed. The pool was awesome and the sounds of the animals on the property were fun to listen to the rooster, the peacocks and of course the snorting of the horses. ”We truly enjoyed our stay in this log cabin. It is much more then we ever expected. Clean and cozy, comfortable with details. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds are comfortable, gas grill and charcoal grill outside on a porch. Fresh eggs was just heavenly delicious. ”Clean, spacious, host was communicative and kept us in the loop as we unfortunately were without WiFi our whole stay due to a cut wire in the neighborhood. House was clean. Backyard is fenced in. Unfortunately there aren’t a ton of amenities (no extra towels, sheets, the couch was not actually a fouton but was a very comfy couch none the less) - overall I would love to stay here again. Just bring exrra towels or sheets if you’re using more than the two beds, and I would also maybe suggest...
