”The staff is the shining star of Emerald Resort. The resort is in need of updating, it has a great location and all the rooms face the beach but it is rundown. Which gives off as not being clean. At breakfast one of my travel companions' breakfast came with butter packets and one of the butter packets had already been used. Plus the sugar bowl had empty packets in it and the jelly packets had food smeared on the bottom which says they reuse them for other guests.”

”Air conditioning went out middle of nite, power in bath went out, shower flooded the floor thru the tile. No courtsey of refund considered. A tiny bottle of body wash. I used our own soap I had tossed in my bag. No restaurant now either. We had to take a cab to eat.”

”Bed was comfortable and that’s about the only good thing I can say. Wait staff was terrible. They were slow to acknowledge you, acted like they didn’t want to be there, and didn’t get the orders right. It might have something to do with the fact that gratuity was automatically included so there was no reason for them to earn tips. They advertised “Coffee and Crosswords” every morning, and that was a complete joke. It entailed a keurig machine and three puzzle books (2 of which were sudoku-type...

”The king size bed in the room was old with the hump in the middle. The room housekeeping was erratic, a couple of days no housekeeping, a few once a day and a few twice a day. Cleaning of the room was superficial, no cleaning of patio. We did not use the spa.The fittness room was nice but the steam room is at the spa.”
