”I made reservations the night before at 5:50 pm and when I tried calling the front desk after 6:00 NO ONE picked up. I called from 5:50 pm until 11 pm and no one picked up. I sent an email to the property. Had EXPEDIA try and they couldn’t get them either- they were no help. We had to stay elsewhere and make reservations elsewhere that were more expensive. Someone called the next day after 10 am! It was too late. It took a while but I got refunded.”

”Was alone most of the time, only person running the restaurant was around. Good food. Not really good beach, hard rocks underfoot in water. Town doesn’t have much to say for itself. But if you want tropical quiet then this is the place.”

”This is not an apartment in Portobelo like the map indicates. It's a house about a mile outside of town and it's a bit rundown. The AC can't keep up with the heat and the entire house has a slight musty smell. I left 2 weeks ago and I still can't get the musty smell out of my CPAP machine. We left early after only 2 nights because the house was so hot and and uncomfortable. The host was great. Very friendly and responsive and he provided great information on local attractions, but he was...

”Great views and a relaxing time was had at this comfortable sea side duplex. We were the only renters so we had the whole yard and pool to ourselves. Bob was an excellent resident owner host and the support staff of Maria and Ilariao were perfect and there when we needed help. Getting to Michi was an adventure especially at night and at the end of Mardi Gras...the road and the citizens were a challenge. After we got the lay of the land driving the area and meeting the residents of the Portobelo...
