However, the maintenance of the facility can be improved and it would be nice if the manager could go over the essential when guests arrive rather than having guests to discover issues( broken curtain rod, moldy coffee maker and missing keys for patio glass doors etc) related to their stay. Sadly, the house is only two year old but deteriorates beyond its age. ”

”Rana Roja was absolutely amazing! The owner Herardo was super nice, hospital and helpful. This place was more than advertised. They had a small and cute pool with a small waterslide which was nice addition during the warm evening. The property had many interesting walking paths which kind of felt like being on a nature tour or a hike, very cool! The owner was very helpful in making our stay comfortable and gave us good tips for tours around the area. We ended up going to a turtle watching tour...

”We discovered that we LOVE Casa Marbella, one of the highlights of our visit to Costa Rica this time! Family owned and run, one of the oldest hotels in Tortugero, the Casa Marbella staff provides friendly, expert, and excellent customer service (boat taxi pick up at the airport, guided tours by boat and in the preserve, etc.) The hotel is small, right on the river, and quiet. We loved staying here and definitely would go back.”

”We stayed in the hotel for one night when going to Tortuguero. The receptionist didn't speak English but she was very friendly. Room was ok, bed felt first nice and firm but it wasn't that good in the end. But we have had worse in CR! You can park the car right infront of the door. Hotels.com says there is breakfast for purchase but this is not true - no breakfast at all.”
