”A nice hotel, perfect walking distance from the town, friendly staff and comfy. It is a little dated and in need of some tlc in places. The radiator in our room made a clicking/dripping noise throughout the night which was also a little annoying. The breakfast in the morning was brilliant and the availability of a car park was great. Would definitely return, perhaps not in that room.”

”Great and quiet location. Excellent facilities with a kitchen and a living room. Very friendly and helpful staff. The stairs were steep and narrow, which was a bit of a challenge with big and heavy luggage. It was also a surprise that the private bathroom was two floors down from the bedroom. Delicious breakfast was served in the nearby cafeteria. Definitely worth the price.”

”Usually if I have a music engagement, the best bet is a chain hotel for value and knowing what you are going to get. The Rose and Crown came up in a search and my wife and we took the chance. We had two cavaliers with us who loved that on the pub grounds was a large stretch of grass to walk and the views while doing so are wonderful. ”It's a great retreat. The environment is quiet and chill,, rooms with good view on a grassland with cows & hares getting around. The only thing is the privacy,, since the glass of the window is not shaded and the people passed by could easily see through into your room when you are looking at the beautiful view.”
