”The room was modern and clean. There are no reception staff, so you have to enter the property and your room using a code. Unfortunately I did not get the code prior to my arrival and had to try to call through the doorbell camera but there was no answer. I sent a WhatsApp message and got a response within 5-10 minutes. On the morning of checkout, I went for breakfast and my code stopped working for the exterior door when I returned. I once again had to call and message to get back onto the...

”Castillo hotel is a beautiful setting with lots of nature surrounding you from ocean views to mountain views. The rooms are comfortable and well done in a Spanish style. Our dinner there was delicious.”

”The Drake Bay Getaway was an unexpected delight! Views from the room were exquisite, as each villa is perched on a hillside with an ocean view. The manager was extremely helpful and spent time explaining about the surrounding area and animal life. We felt as if we were staying with family!
Meals were beautifully prepared, offering a sampling of the local food. The location was great too, allowing for quiet relaxation, yet still convenient for activities.”

”The view was amazing and staff were very friendly. I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay which included access to a local swimming hole which was very refreshing.
The restaurant was the most expensive meal we had in Costa Rica and to be honest, the food was not bad, but not good. Definitely...
