”Areca Hotel was delightful, full of character, so much nicer than the high rise hotels we have been staying in so far on this trip. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, not only with a welcome drink, but an invitation to afternoon tea each afternoon of our stay. ”Upeat näköalat merelle, vuorille, iso huone ja parveke, room service ruoka laadukasta, kohtuuhintaista, aamiainen myös puutarhassa. Iso matala allas, jossa saattoi uida kilometrin, aika paljon lapsia toisinaan, suora yhteys beachille, puhdas hiekka, meressä en uinut, sameaa, meduusoja. Bussi 101 vie 0,50 sentillä puolessa tunnissa oven edestä Georgetowniin, myös Batu Feringhille. Vähän länsimaisia vieraita, paljon arabeja, kiinalaisia, mutta ei haitannut.”

”Muntri Mews exceed my expectations. I loved this heritage style hotel with the original architecture. I love the size of the rooms and the charm and character of staying in an older building. The hotel was centrally located. There is even a cafe right now door. Walking distance to all the main tourist attractions and eating. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Penang.”

”Stayed here for 3 nights while in George Town. Not central but only a 7 min ride to centre and not expensive via grab. I thought I booked with breakfast but arrived and none in my room. But ok as I looked at breakfast and didn’t look good so went out and bought at coffee shop round corner. Room was clean and water each day. Staff friendly and held bags when arrived early and stayed later. Would have wished the staff would turn down the volume on their walkie talkie machines as each morning...
