”First, El Guayacán is NOT located in Granada. It is in Valle de la Laguna, about 30 minutes outside Granada. This misleading location information disrupted our itinerary and travel plans.

”We didn’t use the pool; however, the gentleman at the front desk in the mornings spoke good English and he was able to help us get our clothes washed and dried for a fee which was most helpful. The two ladies who greeted us when we arrived in the afternoon were very friendly and welcoming. The housekeeper did an excellent job at keeping the room clean. It was very walkable to a bank, restaurants and the park. We would definitely stay here again.”

”The hotel is very poor.
Cleanliness is bad - towels and bedding was marked, old and threadbare.
There was no bin in the room, no wardrobe or hangers.
The ‘kitchen’ area had a fridge but nothing else (no kettle, toaster, glassware, plates etc).
There was no hot water for the entire stay (turn the hot tap and nothing comes out). Cold showers only. The ‘bath mat’ to step out of the shower onto was a door welcome mat, and was filthy.

”Terrible experience — I do not recommend this hotel.
I booked and paid for my reservation through Expedia. When I arrived, I was told there would be an additional $20 charge because my reservation was for one person and my husband was with me. They agreed to $10, which I paid.
