”The hotel is in a really good location, central to a lot of things to do and resturants. The hotel is definitely old. The beds and shower were clean. The floors had debris from previous stays. The paint on the wall is peeling and the ceiling is coming off as well. There isn’t any cleaning people that come to tidy up during your stay and if you need any additional towel, toilet paper or anything you need to go to the desk yourself. ”The staff were pleasant and the pool area was OK. Location of the hotel was good. However on the second floor the decor was in need of a lot of improvement. The carpet was threadbare in places; the corridor and our room 223 had paint flaking off in places; the curtains were in need of replacement and were tattily drawn which looked a mess. The bathroom only had one narrow shelf above the toilet which meant there was nowhere to put your toiletries. Finally thought paying £10 per night for car...

”Stayed 2 nights, comfy bed had everything we needed, had a kettle, tea/coffee station, hotel was being refurbished ie scaffolding on the outside of building that didn't effect our sea views, hotel very friendly & helpful i would go again for a budget friendly atmosphere also what I liked the most was the swimming pool I had the whole pool to ourselves at our stay

”Beautiful hotel with an incredible tiered outdoor terrace facing the lake. A great place to watch the sunset, have a pint, and listen to the sounds of the steam engines hard at work.”

”Everything was better than expected. The kitchen was under renovation, boding well for an even better experience when complete. The pub is popular and lively, with fun, live music performed on the weekend, Truly a gem on Holy Island, with easy access to many must-see sights. The service staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Definitely recommend!”

”Rooms are nice and big. The carpets are heavily stained and dirty. Staff were okay, nothing bad but nothing wow.
Bar staff was nice. Restaurant looked lush.
Location is perfect. Breakfast was very expensive so went out for it.”

”The staff were very attentive, even when taking very long to serve food between courses for evening meals. The Hotel is located in a great position, despite a busy road passing by. The rbedroom was generally clean but there were stains on some furniture, the carpet and the bathroom floor. Parking was excellent.”
