”Very charming staff, great breakfast as well as thoughtful service, sorted a breakfast for my hubby to go and even remembered the order next day. Room was lovely and toasty, just what you need after a frolick in the forest. Slept very well. Lots of walks nearby, even saw owls. EXCEPTIONAL food, rare for these days they cater for folks with proper appetites! Loved the friendly field cat! Thank you for a wonderful time we loved it. 🙏”

”The bathroom was in a poor start of repair. The side bath panel was water damaged and obviously been treated and then left Showing further damage and falling apart.
The bathroom mirror required changing with various black marks across it.
The thermostatic controls were really stiff and couldn’t be fully used for both hot and cold. The markings for hot and cold faded and difficult to establish which way to turn.
The bath had various stains around the plug hole and bath and certainly...

”A reasonable hotel with a good restaurant. Very good food available in the dining room, staff helpful and pleasant. A lack of heating and hot water marred our stay (in November) but otherwise good”

”My new favourite place to stay when we come to Norfolk. A lovely hotel, amazing staff and really friendly locals. It was so lovely to see how busy the pub was with both food and drinks.
The food was incredible, breakfasts were amazing. We popped downstairs later one evening and just had a dessert and they were more than happy to just serve that.
All the staff were great, so friendly and went over and above when I mentioned something I needed for the room.
The room was great, loved the...

”My favourite East Anglian hotel - recently refurbished, just as friendly and welcoming. As usual there were all sorts here, it's a proper 'local' - good food, good beer, good cheer! Lots of interesting opinions - all topical issues covered and easily overheard. The bar has two tellies now, and I enjoyed watching the end of an ODI (Sri Lanka won), and then some Happy Valley with mein hosts.
I thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here (as long as you can do stairs), it's reasonably priced, the...
