”Nice clean rooms . Perfect location for the town centre and castle venue . We went to a concert. Downside . No climate control rooms were hot so windows open .. traffic and public noise. Nice balconies. No actual hotel facilities as it is an annex of the George hotel across the street. ”

”Really friendly staff. Lovely sunroom to sit in near reception. Comfortable room with a modern and very clean bathroom. Helpful touch of a much needed fan in the room. Quiet in the room despite not being far from the main road. Helpful that Sainsbury’s is only a five minute walk away, but don’t forget to log your car on the iPads in reception before popping to the shop. ”

”Our stay was a last minute decision and we were luckily to get a room for too nights. We also had our little dog with us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts was lovey and had a good choice. They even gave our dog a sausage, which he enjoyed. The room was small but clean and tidy. The only draw back is that the room was on the top floor, with a lot of stairs to climb. It seemed extra long in the night when the god needed to go to the toilet. But we managed and it was fine.”

”Yet another lovely stay.Good to see the new owners renovating and upgrading the hotel. The installation of a new accessible toilet is very good to see. It would be nice to see some re-cycling facilities, rather than all rubbish going in the same bins in rooms.”

”The area was lovely, we walked around and explored the park and streets alike. We hadn’t realised the dads army connection, which was a lovely discovery. Unfortunately at night we were disturbed by loud noises from people nearby the property and obviously outside of your control.”
