”Lovely hotel in the centre of Taunton. We had a spacious, well-appointed room on the third floor with a nice view of the town. The hotel is an older building with lots of historic details / decor so it has a nice vibe. Daily room service kept everything clean and fresh and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is amazing: steps from the high street shops, cafes and pubs - you can't beat it. We'd definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again next time were in Taunton.”

”Attending a wedding there. Stayed there for 3 days. Room was clean. Staff were excellent. Good breakfast unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning being downstairs. You had to be careful about leaving the window open, would we stay there again? Yes”

”Very welcoming stay. We felt so at home and very looked after. Staff were extremely helpful and food was excellent. Beef brisket Sunday lunch was delish and vame out like a work of art! Excellent quality produce. My bacon roll in the morning was real thick cut and tasty. Comfy beds. Beautiful bathroom. Will 100% be back.”

”This is an Honest Review of our stay October 2026.
Upon arrival we found the main door was locked. There was a hand written note on the door saying the pub/restaurant was shut due to an electrical fault.
Fair enough this is beyond the control of the hotel.
A member of staff did let us in and told us our room was ready and not affected by the electrical fault. They showed us to our room and that was that.
The Room was ok. The room was nothing special, it was clean and tidy with some general wear...

The only issue was the mattress we feel a new one would be beneficial due to wear”
