”Having stayed on one of hottest days of year the air conditioning in bedrooms was extremely welcome and efficient. I thought uk king size beds would be standard in hotels. Not used to a double bed but it was clean and comfortable. Bathroom spotless but struggled to access the shower over bath as you had to step in onto slope at end of bath. If you have even a minor disability then try to get an accessible room.. The pool was a good size and well maintained as was gym. Good sized pool towels....

”There was no AC. being a listed building makes it hard to install AC. the room was so hot it was almost unbearable. One sash window could only open about 20cm at the bottom, as secondary double glazing had been installed it was not possible to open the top part. The other window only opened at the bottom but would not stay open so staff put a cushion there to keep it open. They gave us another fan which helped. Because of the heat in the room we could not close the curtains at night as that...

"Upon check-in we asked if the room has a fridge and were told yes. This was important for medication that has to kept cool. Turned out that the room did not have a fridge (had been taken out). Contacted lobby, they kindly changed the room for upgraded one with fridge. This was on the top floor, where AC was not lowering the temp from 25 C even after three hours, too hot to sleep. Did not want to change the room again... The fridge was only up to +15 C, which was too warm for medicine, had to move that to downstairs for a real fridge. Staff was helpful and trying their best, but because all above left a feeling that things are not as they should be. Checking in was also extremely slow with long ques. Take your own towels from the room if going to gym or swimming, they do not offer these or flip-flops there. The lockers in the changing room were not working (locks)."
