”A very grand and well positioned building, handy for attractions and stations and great view. Communal areas well maintained. Rooms very poor. Acknowledging this is Blackpool, it’s nearly winter and weather this weekend was grim, water pouring in through windows and a huge draft from poorly maintained windows and being told to stuff a town in window frame to absorb the water and wind is perhaps an unusual unique selling point… but ironically did work. ”The staff were fantastic and despite being warned about building work we needn’t have worried. The food was good both for dinner and breakfast. The spa was especially nice. We were warned it would get busy by the very helpful member of staff but even when busy it was ok. We had a really lovely little break with great views of the lake. All in all worth every penny. Thank you for a wonderful time.”

The supposedly white dressing gowns provided were visibly used, although they had been washed. One of them was also very old and discoloured into brown, so I could not use it.
On my first morning, I was also disappointed with the breakfast experience. Some food items...

”Easy parking at the front of the hotel, friendly welcome. Loved that the check in was after 2pm! Room was an Exec Patio king which was on the ground floor of the new wing, overlooking the front. Very clean, with toiletries, iron ironing board, coffee machine, kettle, simple but good storage for a couple of nights stay. Shelving for own toiletries in bathroom and great mirrors/lighting.
Hairdryer, smart tv. Comfortable bed and pillows, usb ports beside bed, blackout curtains, and patio door with...

”The room was terrible, walls were damp and room smelt because of the damp, wallpaper peeling off, bathroom disgusting, no soap in dispenser, bath had cracks and toilet didn’t flush properly”
