”Hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Stayed in the deluxe king ocean and the view was incredible! The rooms were clean, the staff were nice and the amenities were so well maintained.
Highly highly highly recommend if you are coming to the Gold Coast since it is right by the beach and walkable to a lot of places! Will come back for sure!”

”Our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by a very unpleasant check-in experience.
The front desk lady who checked us in never smiled once and appeared unhappy and unfriendly throughout the entire interaction. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that her attitude seemed noticeably different when serving other Western guests. She was warm and welcoming to them, but cold and dismissive toward us as Asian guests.
In addition, several reasonable requests were immediately rejected....

”2-3 star hotel at best. The 5 star is misleading and somewhat false advertising. There is nothing 5 star about the hotel, rooms or experience. Curtains are NOT black out, rooms are NOT soundproofed. Cheap amenities, shower head is a basic handheld. You are provided 2 thin towels. Expect stains. The “king size” bed is the ol 2 single beds mushed together and NOT an actual king size bed. If you want late checkout expect to pay $50 per hour but then get woken by bangs on the door from housekeeping...

”The Star was convenient to the conference centre which was our reason for booking but otherwise you would only go there if you were going to the casino.
The room was small and a bit run down. There were some holes in the ceiling that we had to ask to get covered.
There would be better places to stay if you are holding in Broadbeach.”
