”What a unique stay! The free parking and breakfast was a bonus- but a really convenient one. The property is super walkable to all the things, but quiet and safe. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It was a nice historic property, it was a lucky find!”

”Room was clean, wish the restroom had a fan, but the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the chocolate on the pillows and bottled waters. The staff was very friendly and the common area was also nice to have with a microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator to use. Parking is free after 8pm and Sundays so that was helpful with a Saturday night stay. Quicker to take an Uber to visit Salem in October! Would highly recommend. ”

”I enjoyed my stay at the Merchant. I loved the history of the property, its location, the extra comfort touches everywhere in both the common areas and the individual rooms. The small deck in the rear of the building offered a pleasant seating area outside, the property is well maintained inside and out. Loved being able to walk everywhere, can’t wait to return to Salem and the Merchant. ”

”The room was spotless. The staff were amazing! Made sure we had everything we needed, helped us learn the T schedule, and even took us to and from the airport T station so we could visit Boston without having to worry about driving and parking in Boston. ”

”The dog walk area is very small but there is plenty of other areas to walk your dog. The room was spotless. Breakfast had many options. The only negative thing we could say is one toilet had been clogged by a previous guest so it wouldnt flush. My husband fixed the toilet.”
