The picturesque harbour town of Aberaeron provides a selection of tasty eateries to try, and a variety of independent shops and craft centres to mooch around. Take a stroll along the beach and keep your eyes peeled for the famous Cardigan Bay bottlenose dolphin pods. Better still, head over to New Quay where you can hop aboard a boat excursion for a chance to see Europe’s largest population of bottlenose dolphins in their natural environment. New Quay also offers three beaches, from Blue Flag bays popular with families to much wilder and more rugged bays popular with dog walkers all year round.
