”My daughter checked in before me on the afternoon and my flight wouldn’t arrive in Lubbock until late in the night and when I arrived The Room #103 given to us had a beep sound that wouldn’t stop, so I requested to change room immediately or we couldn’t sleep but on the new room #127 the bathroom tub was full of rust, the curtain not very clean and the shower was hard to make it work. ”I've had a wonderful stay at the Guest House Inn. The property is kept clean, and the rooms are spotless and rooms comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome with their friendly and helpful service. A major highlight was the shower, which had incredible water pressure and plenty of hot water. ”While at this property, my daughter's basketball team had a block of rooms, one room with a dead mouse in it. The GM was quick to apologize and offer a refund as we checked out within the hour of checking in. Also while trying to leave, there was intense rain. The entire entry way of this hotel collapsed and had water every where. I know this property is under new management and I truly hope whomever is tasked with that role can help get this place back in order with the potential it has.”

”The property personnel were helpful, especially the proprietor who was on duty all 4 days of my stay. My room was very dusty. I have videos showing the extent. The bathroom had numerous cracks in the grout on a number of places, forcets on shower fixtures ,cracks in the toilet seat questioning the spread of infectious bacteria. The toilet grout at the base was cracking leading to overflows of fluids from showering. I do have pictures and videos of these areas as I was disappointed in the upkeep...

”The staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast and coffee was very good. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, the USB outlets by the bed and under the TV weren't working, but the one on the lamp was. The TV occasionally had bad reception, but not too bad.The air conditioning unit by the window leaked water on the floor at times, but it still worked well and kept the room nice and cool.”

”For this to be a newer hotel it was old looking and not maintained at all. The first room smelled of mold/mildew so we were moved to a different room. The bathtub was rusted and had mold around the tub. The housekeeping came at 9am and we were trying to get ready for my Dad’s funeral, so we asked them to come back but they didn’t. So that evening we had to ask for towels. The next day we had to ask for room service again. Just very disappointing.”

”I was very surprised & impressed at the large size of the room & its cleanliness. Very comfortable. A few items were worn & could use repair. The pool desperately needed a cleaning. Breakfast was ok & simple. Eggs were cold & dry, but then learned the normal breakfast cook was out. All staff were very warm, friendly, & helpful!”
