”The grounds are stunningly beautiful. The room was clean and the staff were very inviting. The room had a mini fridge, but no microwave. There was a microwave, as well as cold filtered water and cups just a short walk down the hall.”

”Room was ready earlier than check in time and we couldn’t register to go in. We had a wedding to attend and get ready for and we were still not allowed to enter the room even though it was clean. It was the only place that had a room available that night so we had to take it but would not stay there again.”

”Cute little lodge . The front desk is open only 9 to 5. Provisions are made for coming and going after hours. Parking is directly behind the building. Free 8pm to 8am . 50 cents an hour otherwise. Easy to pay with app. Location is convenient for theaters and restaurants. You can walk everywhere. Hotels in this area are very high priced and this one is no exception, but a little less than the big chains. We therefore chose the least expensive room with a king bed as we were staying only 1 night...

”We booked the pent house suite (room 444) while we were in town for a wedding. This suite is great for a family of 4-5! There’s a kitchenette with a living room area with a sectional couch, a small table with seating for 4 and a little balcony with chairs. The bathroom was large with a jacuzzi tub and full shower/tub. King size bed and full size bed in a separate bedroom as well as a cot of extra bedding was needed. Only drawback was the spiral stairs to get to this top floor were very narrow....

”The property was located within walking distance of most of the points of interest. Our room was very comfortable and pristine. The food was delicious at the Tavern and we enjoyed the convenience of the donuts and muffins served for breakfast. I highly recommend this historic hotel in Salem.”

”I’m guessing the A/C was not working. So to fix the issue, a portable floor A/C was wheeled in which ran all night long with a tremendous noise. Definitely not a good sleep. Now check out is at 11am. We’re five people deep to checkout because the hotel is allowing guests to check their luggage in before they can get into hotel at 4pm. Not well planned from our perspective. Hotel has been great in previous stays. Maybe this was an anomaly”

”We only stayed one night, but we were obsessed! The property was gorgeous and the rooms were so cute, clean, and the beds were cozy. We were disappointed we didn’t have more time and discussed booking it again for a whole weekend! It was dif type of check in than I was used to, but went so smoothly. Having a room with a keypad was extremely convenient too! We loved it!”
