”We had a very comfortable stay. Georges was quick to respond to our questions. Language barrier was eased with the help of a handheld translator. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the downstairs lounge area. Kitchen well equipped, although we were unable to get the coffee maker to work, but we were able to make coffee using provided French press. All bedrooms are upstairs, as is one full bathroom. ”This was perfect for a family holiday. The house is clean, spacious and very well equipped for those who want to cook and eat in-house. The garden is lovely, with lots of space and with different areas to sit out. The gite is about a 10 minute walk from Carentan, or a few minutes in the car. Carentan is about 60 minutes easy driving from Caen. Our host, Mme Haubois, was very welcoming and gave us some good ideas on where to eat and visit, and sorted out a minor issue with the washing machine...

”We have never had such a welcome from a VRBO host. Clarisse knew we had excess luggage from our cruise and because taxi service is limited in Bayeux, she picked us up from the train station. She has set up the best appointed property. It has everything! If you want to cook for yourself, she has everything you need in the kitchen. So many thoughtful items that you don't find in others properties. The location is perfect. The apartment is steps from everything including a sweet grocery store, ...
